An 18-year-old named Bradley Scott Sayer walked into the Butte County Library in Chico, California yesterday and opened fire, killing two adults and injuring a child. Police had an open 911 line and could hear gunshots and screaming inside the building before they even arrived. Officers entered through the front while Sayer tried to slip out the back - but a perimeter was already set and he was taken down within minutes. His motive according to investigators was a desire to carry out a Columbine-style mass killing.
