This was 15-year-old Tre’Von Riggins, the teen shot and killed near a playground inside an apartment complex yesterday. His family and mentors tell me that he was a sharp kid, had a bubbly personality & was on the right track from previous troubled decisions.

So, I live in the hood (by choice) right 🤭 I started walking to get my daily steps in & made friends with two neighbors & a crack head who said they’d make sure to watch out for me & keep me safe while I hit the blocks. The neighbors have IMPD North District on speed dial.

I respect anyone who has a PhD, because the level of discipline, consistency, and mental stamina it takes to stay committed to solving one research problem for years is definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Everybody wants third spaces until a homeless guy shows up.

I had to learn one of my favorite TV reporters left the market after WISH-TV took over channel 6 from the records department. They told me there's no more competition with who gets PCs first anymore cause he's gone. I'm gonna miss that kid. He was so good & a sharp shooter.

#COURTDOCS: A mother & her boyfriend were arrested for neglect resulting in death after a 4-year-old was found unresponsive Monday. The boy had multiple medical conditions & a history of alleged neglect, including prior removal by DCS. He was often left in a basement closet.
