🚁 The Russian hypersonic bomber Moskalyev DSB-LK is now available in Modern Warships! The Moskalyev DSB-LK is an experimental Soviet long-range strategic bomber designed to fly at hypersonic speeds. Its design made extensive use of titanium alloys, which ensured strength under extreme loads, and six highly efficient power plants provided enormous thrust for rapid acceleration. The streamlined shape of the airframe not only contributed to record speeds, but also significantly reduced radar visibility, making the aircraft a difficult target for the air defense systems of its time. ⚔️Armament: 1. Kh-47M2 Kinzhal-M — a long-range hypersonic airborne missile system capable of delivering high-precision strikes against maritime targets and taking out large ships. 2. X-MD-E Moskalyev — a high-precision medium-range missile with fast target acquisition and an extended ammunition load. Its guidance system is resistant to heat traps, which significantly increases its effectiveness. 3. FAB-3000 UMPK — a 3,000 kg air-guided bomb equipped with a universal planning and guidance module. Thanks to its long-range gliding capabilities, it can cover significant distances, allowing it to inflict devastating damage on targets from a safe distance. The guidance module also allows it to ignore heat traps. The Moskalyev DSB-LK clearly reflects the Soviet-Russian concept of using missile-carrying bombers that combine tremendous speed and long-range weapons. Its outstanding flight characteristics allow it to gain combat altitude much faster than most of its counterparts, take up an optimal position, and begin striking enemy ships while remaining outside the range of enemy air defenses. This approach is entirely justified: there is no need to take risks and enter dense air defense space when targets can be hit from a safe distance while maintaining the initiative. At the same time, high speed ensures not only a rapid exit to the attack position, but also an equally rapid return to the aircraft carrier to replenish ammunition. Although its speed is its main drawback, due to its high durability, this drone is able to remain under enemy fire longer than others.
