The nomination period for the election of the Prosecutor will be extended to 12 midday (Eastern Standard Time) on Wednesday, 10 February 2021.

I regret to inform you that, in spite of the best efforts of the Presidency and of the focal points, consensus has not been achieved.

Therefore, the required administrative and technical steps will be taken in order to elect the next Prosecutor by secret ballot at the earliest possible date. At the same time, the plenary meeting of the Assembly scheduled for 16:30 today is postponed to a later date asap.

Accordingly, the nomination period for the election of the Prosecutor will be extended to 14.00 (Eastern Standard Time) today, 8 February 2021.
