Under the guidance of the Institute Innovation Council (IIC), the UDYAM Entrepreneurship Cell, IIIT Nagpur successfully organized an industrial visit to Haldiram's Manufacturing Facility, providing students with valuable exposure to real-world industrial operations.

Team Skywalkers -Aditya Gupta, Kartik Agrawal, Navinya Kalambhe, and Shreyans Jain from IIITN participated in the hardware domain under the theme “Smart Wearables for Safety” at Hacksagon 2026, held at IIITM Gwalior—with over 2100+ teams from various institutes across the country

Hands-on training session on Quantum Computing using Qiskit Library was organized on 6th April 2026 for the 6th Semester students of B. Tech. CSE and PhD scholars by the department of CSE, IIIT Nagpur under IIC. The speaker was Mr. Prasad Patil, AI Architect, TCS, Nagpur.

The team from IIIT Nagpur delivered an outstanding performance at IIT Bhubaneswar MUN 8.0, reflecting excellence in diplomacy, critical thinking, and policy engagement across committees. The delegation secured multiple accolades.

Students of the IIITN delivered an outstanding performance at SARAMBH-II 2026, the Annual Inter-University Sports Fest hosted by Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur from 19–22 March 2026, securing 1st positions in Volleyball, Kabaddi and Chess.

IIIT Nagpur successfully concluded the 9th edition of its flagship cultural fest, Abhivyakti 2026. Centered around the theme “The Enchanted Circus,” the fest transformed the campus into a vibrant carnival of creativity, music, and artistic brilliance and expression.

A three-day Training Programme on Core IT for officials of the Subordinate Statistical Service (SSS) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, commenced at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur on Monday 9/3/2026.

IIIT Nagpur celebrated International Women’s Day on March 6, 2026 with great enthusiasm and grandeur in the institute’s Seminar Hall. The event was organized by the Institute Innovation Cell (IIC) as part of its day celebration activities.

Mr. VISHAL KUMAR student of 3rd year B. Tech. from CSE (HCI&GT) secured 120th Rank out of 4917 globally (Top 2.4%) in the LOB (Limited Order Book) Predictorum Competition by Wunder Fund, USA with a 0.2812 score. Competition was started from 31 December – 1st March, 2026.

IIITN will celebrate International Women’s Day as part of the IIC Day celebration activities on 6th March 2026. As part of the celebration, Mrs. Shilpa Agarwal, Managing Director and CEO of Akash Furniture Group, has been invited as the Guest Speaker.

The Department of Basic Sciences organized a seminar titled “What’s Half of Thirteen: Curiosity and Creativity” on 11th February 2026 in the Seminar Hall under the Communication Skills course. The session was delivered by Dr. Prantik Banerjee, a distinguished TEDx speaker.

IIITN announced the commencement of the third edition of the AICTE-QIP Sponsored PG Certification Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning on 17th Feb. 2026. The 24-week training programme is being conducted under the QIP initiative of the AICTE. @EduMinOfIndia

Team Abhiyantas from IIITN has won SIH 2025 Grand Finale, held from 7th–9th Dec 2025 at Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), Jaipur. Under the Software Edition, the team developed “SAKSHAM National Portal for Internship and Placement” for the Govt of Rajasthan

Team Autistic Monkeys from IIIT Nagpur secured a Podium Finish at nVisionX’26, a prestigious competition organized by IIT Hyderabad (Elan & nVision), held under the theme “Sustainability and Green Energy.”
