I saw so many people around me take bullshit, actively evil office jobs and make six figures right out of college โ and this was nearly a decade of inflation ago. A housekeeper should make at least as much as that. Arguably more!

@Melitaalsole The only time it isnโt cheaper is if you hunt deer. One deer can see you through most of a winter but itโs very labour intensive, so cheap takes on a different meaning.

@GLO_OMella because the dairy industry doesnโt talk down people who canโt afford veganism . i wish there was a more humane way of supplying ANY PRODUCE to america , but there isnโt . i have to consume meat harvested in cruelty , and she has to consume veggies harvested with human labor

Why are restaurants so expensive in the West?
I'm honestly asking.
In Asia people eat out almost every day, there are options cheaper than cooking for yourself.
But even "street food" is expensive here.
I paid $17 for 4 tacos out of a truck from a guy who spoke no English.
