The night before I launched TOC I got laid off. I still showed up anyway. At the start of this year I had one goal: Build something for my state. Growing up in the North as a girl interested in Web3, everything I knew came from online spaces. No real-life community. No one around me who truly understood this path. I realised others might be in the same position. So I did something about it. I spent months building through Q4 last year. Then finally launched the first cohort this year. The night before launch… I got laid off. It took a toll on me. But I had already started. So I kept going. And then reality hit. Participation dropped. People lost interest. Team members couldn't keep up. Which made me realise that Starting is easy. Keeping it going is the real work especially when it's free. I got discouraged. I was sinking. I remember sitting with myself asking: "Am I even supposed to be doing this?" But in that same season, founders and friends showed up. Checked in. Reminded me why I started. Encouraged me to keep building even when it felt messy. To mention a few and say a big THANK YOU with so much gratitude 🧡 @Etherarchives @Inikpi_A @KeneEzeala @thesarahidahosa @kryptoJinJin And just when I was finding my footing again… Life had other plans. I lost two cousins. From both sides of my family. Grieving while trying to build something was a lot. There were days I paused. Days I didn't want to continue. But somehow, I did. And at the end of it all… I finished the cohort. It wasn't perfect. But it was done. And that means everything to me. Because in between all the chaos: I found my way back to content. I started learning marketing more intentionally. I rediscovered my creative spark. Q1 was heavy. But it was also defining. It showed me I can start, struggle, doubt, grieve… And still finish. I'm not entering Q2 the same way I entered this year. I know what it costs to build now. I know what it feels like to keep going when everything says stop. And that changes everything for me. Q2 is here. And I'm not just hopeful this time. I'm ready🐝

When death revisited me after taking two of my siblings, it came again and took the human I cherished the most. The one who loved me more than he loved himself. The man I felt I couldn’t breathe without. He had been a part of me since the day he brought me into this world, always there to lift me up and support me. Yet somehow I have been breathing without him for 33 days now. Sadly 33 days since he last called me, the same person who used to call me more than once every day.
