@Fishingmagic1 Ah don't I know man. We used to have a big population of blonde ray here in cork but one drawer went up the bank and that was basically the last if them. They haven't been the same since

@Irish_Angling I think that ray are one fish doing well but I’m sure in the uk it’s mainly down to them not being trawled. An area that supports them can be decimated in just a single trawl and take a while to recover. Main catches of them we get in fast tidal estuary.

@Fishingmagic1 Id be lying if I said I knew. I dont know if there is a commercial value. I know here in the Shannon you'd be hard pushed to trawl for them. Currents and rough ground probably make it impossible.

@Irish_Angling Do rays have any commercial value over your way?They seem to be targeted far less commercially over here and over last 10 years catches of ray are quite normal now in far greater numbers.

Stunning bass for Ian. Taken on a full sandeel in the surf. We were out trying to get a big bass for the Specimen hunt for the Diawa Pairs. This bass got Ian on the leaderboard but got pipped at the end. #fishing #ireland #fishingireland #seafishingireland #wildatlanticway

A beautiful Turbot and my PB. Caught on a double sandeel on a 4ft up and over rig paired with a 4/0 bottom and a 5/0 circle top hook. Purposefully put out to roll around in the tide Just over 39cm and plenty thick. #fishing #fishingireland #seafishingireland
