@MTownsendGolf Sitting on the range at Augusta eating lunch and watching Freddie smooth 100 shots in a row is a peak Masters memory for me.

@fman7000 @DiamondClemson @jemelehill Yeah same. I just wanted Clemson baseball news not to be proselytized to.
English

Everybody who thinks this is cool, go to your job and try this and see what happens.
Dan Wolken@DanWolken
I’m sorry but what
English

@PJDubya @MichelleDBeadle @jemelehill Should have taken an arrow to the knee and went out on disability.
English

@MichelleDBeadle @jemelehill I got fired from a job for reciting Heimskir from Skyrim's rant about Talos , damned Thalmor dogs
English

@DiamondClemson Yeah, we have arbitral precedent in my industry that upholds our right to fire employees for things they say on social media.
English

@JB_In_SC No one is prosecuting you for stating your beliefs on your personal social media are they?
English

I usually try to keep this account mostly baseball and Clemson related, but anyone that has any kind of platform should speak up on this. Jaden Ivey got cut from the Bulls for spreading the word of God and speaking up against unrighteousness. If he was promoting sin or was any other religion, this wouldn't be happening. People are calling him mentally ill for sticking up for his beliefs and not giving into the world. Christians are being punished for their beliefs across sports and being openly discriminated against and people are perfectly fine with it.
John 15:19–20
"If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they keep my word, they will also keep yours."
Collin Rugg@CollinRugg
BREAKING: The Chicago Bulls are waiving Jaden Ivey after he spoke out against the NBA for promoting 'Pride Month' and unrighteousness, according to ESPN. Ivey recently announced that he was alive in Christ. "They proclaim Pride Month in the NBA. They show it to the world. They say, 'Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.'" "They proclaim it on the billboards, they proclaim it in the streets, unrighteousness." He said nothing wrong.

@DiamondClemson It wasn’t just scripture, he was publicly bashing the league because he doesn’t like pride night/month/etc…
You can’t shit talk your employer and act surprised they let you go.
English

All he did was present scripture on his personal social media account. If he was Muslim or Jewish, no one would have had a problem with it. This is clear and blatant persecution of Christians and I will not stand for my brothers in Christ being persecuted for spreading Gods word. If there’s any way I could share the word of Jesus Christ with you, please reach out to me. I would love to share his love with you.
English

@ReganH0906 @DiamondClemson It’s not deflection, it’s the truth. When your conduct is more of a hassle than your performance warrants it becomes detrimental to the team. Is it fair? Not really, but that’s how the world works.
English

@JB_In_SC @DiamondClemson ah so now the deflection comes. that is why they came out and stated that they released him “due to conducted detrimental to the team”. so please, find something else to deflect about.
English

@ReganH0906 @DiamondClemson Doesnt have to threaten, just has to violate company policy. I’m sure he’ll hop on the persecution grift, when the truth is if he were averaging 20 a night instead of missing most of the last 3 seasons because he can’t stay healthy he’d still have a job.
English

@JB_In_SC @DiamondClemson cheering on someone’s death, yes, can warrant your job.
reading out scripture? 🤣
this just shows where this world has become.
English

@ReganH0906 @DiamondClemson Apparently that’s not the case. But also, we have a ton of precedent in my field that things you say on social media can cost you your job.
English

@JB_In_SC @DiamondClemson he didn’t say anything at work. last time i checked he said it on his personal social media account.
if he was muslim and made those comments he would still have a job.
English

@ReganH0906 @DiamondClemson It’s the guy who thinks you can just say whatever you want at work, use “it’s my religion” as a shield, and not face repercussions. If Ivey were Muslim and made those same comments would you be defending him?
English

@JB_In_SC @DiamondClemson i think i found the retard of the day
English

@RpsAgainstTrump Those gulf stats and Israel will fight to the last American to topple Iran.
English

@Theoblybriguy @sean3377 @generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi Beliefs can’t, speech can. He can believe whatever he wants but when he puts those beliefs online for the world to see, he violates company policy and can be fired.
English

@JB_In_SC @sean3377 @generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi Religious beliefs cannot violate company policy. And there in lies the rub.
Their waiving of him probably means they still pay him, but don’t want him playing…which they probably can do
English

This is blatantly unconstitutional. A private employer cannot fire an employee for their words. It’s called freedom of speech. Please step in and take action here @AGPamBondi.
Shams Charania@ShamsCharania
The Chicago Bulls are waiving guard Jaden Ivey after his recent anti-LGBTQ comments amid several rants on religion and other topics, sources tell ESPN.
English

You're entitled to believe whatever you want, so long as the woke establishment approves.
But a player holding standard historic Christian beliefs that have been held for 2,000+ years is conduct detrimental to the team.
Chicago Bulls@chicagobulls
English

@sean3377 @generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi It absolutely does not. Employers may terminate employees for off-duty speech if It violates company policy, damages reputation, disrupts operations, or creates harassment or liability risk. Attempting to use religion as a shield does nothing to change that.
English

@JB_In_SC @generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi You can be fired for disrupting a workplace if you go into an office and say something that causes a commotion. But if it's part of your religious beliefs and you state it outside the workplace, the Civil Rights Act protects you.
English

@sean3377 @generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi So by that logic I can walk in to my office tomorrow and say everyone who’s gay is going to hell and an abomination because I believe god said so. And I can’t be fired, right?
English

@generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi They actually can, but not when (as in Ivey's case) those words involve his religious beliefs. That is prohibited under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
English

@generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi Hey look, retards again confusing freedom of speech with freedom from consequences. The first amendment applies to the government preventing you from saying something, not your employer.
