Writing brings me different emotional highs than drawing, I think. More puzzle cracking, eureka moments. Drawing is a sustained buzz. A lot of legwork, less time in my head and more on the page.

Also: figuring out that short new scene that fixes everything

Figuring out how to tie disparate plot elements together is my favorite feeling in writing. Like nailing a crossword puzzle except you can't show anybody.
