Quick Masai story.
Back in 2015, went to a Raptors game with our great friend Jonathan Pitre (The Butterfly Child). Sent a note to Masai, just to see if maybe Jonny could meet a player or get an autograph after the game. Masai said "Meet me down by where the players come out before the game." He then proceeded to push Jonny's wheelchair out to centre court, and in front of a packed house, let J present an All-Star jersey to Kyle Lowry who had just been named to the team. Class.

Scottie Barnes donated to help save a Toronto area school on the verge of closing due to financial troubles stemming from the pandemic ❤️ The school provides programs for children in pre-kindergarten to sixth grade, including for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. It had until Mar. 31 to pay off its $90k debt to its landlord to stay open. According to principal Josette Drummond, Barnes’ donation was crucial to reach the goal and save the school from closure. “I think it’s a testament to who he is as a person," Drummond said.
