Eileen should still be alive, but the system failed her by legalizing physician-assisted suicide. Because of the strain of her mental suffering she used the law to obtain assisted suicide drugs and take her life. Eileen is proof that PAS laws don't work.

@GovKathyHochul it’s not hyperbole. The practical application of the bill language (according to proponents in their medical journal) allows suicidal patients with treatable and/or chronic conditions to qualify. No chapter amendment can fix this loophole. Veto this terrible bill!

@GovKathyHochul if you are considering signing assisted suicide, I can only implore you to reconsider. Well-documented abuses take place where it’s legal and the response of proponents is to expand more. This barely passed the legislature and it doesn’t have to pass your desk.
