Tough, tough day for the normally-great CBS broadcast. Worst Masters coverage in recent memory…soooo much Andrew Catalon, Nantz felt mia, IBF sorely missed, impactful shots of notable players nowhere to be found, total fail on the 72nd hole. Underwhelming, run-of-the mill feel

John Smoltz's take on Walker calling for an ABS challenge is awful It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that your chances of reaching base are drastically lower in a pitcher's count versus a hitter's count Someone, please, get him off the broadcast

Collin Morikawa says his performance this week at the Masters while recovering from injury is one of the best tournaments he’s ever played: “Yeah, this blew by any expectations I had for the week. Honestly, for me it was just survive each day, wake up, do the prep I needed to do, and go and tee off on one. I didn't know how uncomfortable it was going to be, but we managed to get through all 18 and all 72… “I mean, trust me, it's going to be one of the best tournaments forever. I'm going to remember this one for many reasons, but just more how strong the mind is, to be able to go out and convince yourself that everything is going to be okay.” Collin made 5 birdies in a row on the second nine today to shoot a 4 under par 68 and finish inside the top 10. @collin_morikawa @TheMasters

I feel like the Masters broadcast doesn’t fully capture Augusta’s difficulty. Most every shot these guys are hitting is off an uneven fairway lie. And they make it look easy. I wish they could set up more cameras level with the slope so we could see it better.

Justin Rose reacted to another near miss at the Masters: “I think just chance that got away obviously. You know, I was by no means kind of free and clear and was nowhere kind of close to having the job done, but I was right in position. You know, Amen Corner, without really hitting a bad shot but just not good shot, not committed enough on maybe 11 shot specifically, it was kind of like two saves. “There was a lot of club and it was not -- and it was a bit of a safe lie and I kind of felt it in the fairway with the wind direction and just wasn't able to really trust that one in there. “Yeah, because I was really in control. First ten holes I felt like I was -- yeah, I was. And the mentality was to run through the finish line not just try and get it done. I was playing great, but just momentum shifted for me around the Amen Corner.” “These are the tournaments I focus on. These are the tournaments why I practice. These are the tournaments that get me going that sort of extra mile to sort of have to show up and keep being in these great arenas is kind of why I practice, yeah.” Justin shot rounds of 70, 69, 69 and 70 to finish T3 for his 8th top 10 at the Masters. Another incredible performance. @JustinRose99 @TheMasters

This major shouldn’t even count for Rory. Even par on the weekend? Yeah right man. He’s devalued this event into the Wells Fargo championship at quail hollow. Proper players like The Great Man Team Rose and Scott Scheffler just ran out of holes.

Without Tyrrell Hatton's T3 finish, this would've been an absolute disaster of The Masters for LIV Golf. His performance managed to save face for the league who desperately need some better finishes in the next 3 majors in 2026.

@RichUSCAv8te @mrmckee To say LIV outplayed the PGA in this Masters is funny. DJ Rahm Cam BAD who else other than Hatton was worth a shit?! Go do more math. LIV didn't not show well.

@mrmckee BS. LIV golf has about 50 total players. 1/5th made the masters field in merit and several made the cut. The PGA has hundreds of players and only about 45 made the cut. Do your math. LIV qualitatively beat out the PGA.

@mrmckee No they don’t. LIV players have consistently won and contended for every major since its inception. They have like 4 players in 100 plus fields. What about all the PGA players that missed the cut and shit the bed?

My hole-in-one at Augusta -true story. Little known fact: Augusta has a separate 9-hole par-3 course, so yeah, it counts :) The day wasn't over, dinner with Lou Holtz and Nick Saban, talking football. I learned more that night than in my entire career.💪 Now that’s the Masters.

Thoughts from Masters: -The Masters is a special event to be at. The vibe/energy/atmosphere is unlike any other place I’ve been to. Everyone is excited to be there, patrons are on their best behavior and it’s truly a privilege to compete there. I certainly didn’t play as well as I would have hoped but more motivation to come back and experience a masters Sunday in contention. -The course really does feel like it fits Rory so well. His high bombs off the tee and overall game lets him find much easier birdies and eagles than most of the field. He has a comfort now around this place that guys like Tiger, Jack, and Phil had. He might have 4 or 5 by the end of his career. - I just made too many simple mistakes during the week. I didn’t make any doubles but some of the “simpler” shots especially with my wedges weren’t crisp enough. Next time. -They do let guys that MC stay and practice. The club asks we hit on the right side and there were plenty golfers practicing even Jose Maria. Some dudes just love the grind and practice. -Thank you to all my followers for the support! I also hit 500k followers during the week… I think many are bots but 500k is 500k 🤷🏻‍♂️. Plenty of cool Masters theme giveaways coming up in the next couple days so stay tuned! -Hilton head and RBC coming up!

After breaking his driver by smashing it off the tee box on the 2nd hole at Augusta National, a seething Sergio Garcia delivers one of the greatest post-round press conferences in the history of golf, "It makes it very easy, you just have to hit 3-wood all the time."
