As for the HS teachers, the professional development sessions were always on Zoom, so they can "work" from home.

SNOW DAY for teens: Students in NYC high schools and grade 6-12 schools already had Monday off due to scheduled professional development for teachers. Some 500K kids in elementary and most middle schools are expected to log onto tablets sent home last week.

Public gifted programs are the epitome of equity b/c it means that all children have access to the education they need without financial barriers unlike affluent families who can afford & will send kids to private gifted schools. Giftedness comes from students of ALL backgrounds!
