Karren Brady’s promise of “a world-class team in a world-class stadium” rings even more hollow now. West Ham United should never have moved to a soulless public athletics track. Great move for the board but not for the fans. Leaving Upton Park made sense for commercial reasons but not sporting/atmosphere. Daniel Levy was right. The Olympic Stadium should have been knocked down and a proper football stadium built there. It is a good site. But the Olympic lobby and politicians got all protective and precious about the 2012 legacy. How often does this country need a huge athletics arena anyway? Yes, West Ham won a European trophy since they’ve left Upton Park. But London Stadium was always a problem, always a passion-killer, fans distant from the ones they love, the players, and limited potential for increased revenue streams. Other reasons behind club’s demise. Lack of leadership in the boardroom. Recruitment an issue, too. What a mess. Record losses, fears over future of Fernandes, Summerville and Nuno, intensified protests against chairman Sullivan.   Relegation likely. Two points adrift of safety following 3-1 defeat to Newcastle. Wretched goal difference (-22) compared to Spurs’ (-9). Spurs need only a point from Chelsea away (hard) or David Moyes’ Everton at home to guarantee survival and condemn West Ham. Can Moyes do West Ham a favour? The club who let him go. West Ham need to beat ex-Spur Joe Rodon and Leeds at home anyway. West Ham look doomed to the drop. They will return but need better ownership. And many of their fans have been warning of this perfect storm for some time. #WHUFC

@nffcNM31 @elsanteocho @itfc_louis2 We absolutely were shit for ages relative to Arsenal and our size. Empty seats everywhere, demand was nowhere near where it is now. Hence why it is now more popular to go as we are doing well and you now need a ballot to even have a chance of a ticket. Stop being silly please

Side note, if you’ve noticed Ty never does any European away games. Would be class if the club could get him out to Budapest with a ticket to see us in the final. One of the real ones from day one 👏🏾

@DarrenArsenal1 @Anand_P5 And it looks like they’re trying to crack down on people selling them, saying they’ll cancel season tickets if they catch people, and the need for ID to match the name on the ticket etc. In the past maybe more would just have bought the tickets with a view to flogging them?

@Anand_P5 no, but this time its the cost, 960 euros and 720 euros plus plus plus, means mr and mrs average, when they have ST to renew within the next 3 weeks causes a pause in possible spend

As an opinion, i believe this will go to Phase 3 on Standby for unsuccessful ballot winners on Phase 2. The prohibitive cost of the ticket when people decide to log in to buy will mean some who are successful wont purchase a game that will cost them circa £1500 to buy/get to

@Azeem_Majeed @Toady99999 It seems to take a ton of attempts to opt in before it works. If you need to use a different trust fo any reason the process starts again. The NHS app is okish but doctors/hospitals seem reluctant to push messaging that way too

I’ve heard from numerous people recently about how they were removed from NHS waiting lists without their knowledge due to a “failure to reply” to a letter from a hospital asking them to confirm they still wanted to be seen. In all cases, they say they never received the letter.
