@Ursodave @longy11 I’m not sure he’s a scapegoat, the expectation is high from us and his current contribution is pitiful. It leads to criticism which is justified, not scapegoating. It’s his attitude around the mistakes that irks some.

I bang on about first touches, weight of passing, and close control, but all of these things can be summed into ball control, and Villa's new way of trying to control games via possession is reliant on it. The amount of loose touches and bumbling bobbles suggests we lack it.
