A surprising amount of galaxy brained people are really bad at math actually. Friedrich Nietzsche famously struggled with math so much that his teacher of classical Greek had to step in just so he could get a passing grade. The reason for this is fairly straightforward actually; mathematics is linear intelligence, and not all brain architectures are optimized for linear thinking.
