Alright everybody…the news from Alex’s doctor this morning…ALEX GETS TO GO HOME TODAY! Wow, 13 days after surgery and he is doing really well. Still phantom pain in the amputated leg but Alex is one strong dude. #Alexstrong

Alex is making great progress. He was removed from the PICU on Saturday morning. This morning....Alex just sat up at the edge of the bed. He sat there for some time all by himself and now he has started to eat some yogurt, noodles with Alfredo, and applesauce.

@MGullingsrud Alex is strong and will continue to show us all! Prayers and strength for all of you.

Update on Alex. Recent imaging didn’t give us the news we had hoped. The tumor on the hip has grown 2 cm. The spot on Alex’s lung is confirmed cancer too. Surgery has been moved up to this Friday. Doctors will remove the tumor on the hip, as well as amputate Alex’s right leg. 🙏
