I hear you, but I still disagree. Advocating for Very Severe and making it the poster child (while still touching on the other stages) will only benefit the disease overall. It will not make things worse for ‘Mild’ people than it is today. 👈🏼 This point is important. One of our biggest problems is that ME/CFS is spoken of as a general chronic illness at best, and depression you can just snap out of at worst. Making Very Severe the poster child, gives such a clear image of what this disease actually is, the danger of it, and emotionally imprints what the disease looks like without having to over explain the disease. Or explain it at all. Healthy people don’t remember the science, any details, any symptoms of any disease. All they remember, is the feeling, the fear, imagery or a slogan. Advocacy to reach sick people with me/cfs is important too. But if ME/CFS can get *more* attention through the shocking factor, it gives a bigger stage to the disease, where you again get the opportunity to say, here are the different stages, do you identify?

No one should be planning to have a child. Your child will not thank you for bringing them into the apocalypse. Literal hell on earth is coming. Everyone who has the privilege of knowing the truth has the absolute duty to share.
