โ ๏ธ CLARITY Act deal: No passive yield on stablecoins, only activity-based rewards!!
What does this mean? ๐
โช๏ธ Passive yield = earning interest just for holding stablecoins is now banned in the US.
โช๏ธ Activity-based rewards = stablecoins can only give rewards when you actively use them.
How โactivity-basedโ rewards will actually work remains unclear, which leaves space for future regulatory discussions. ๐
This move reflects pressure from the banking sector!
Until they decide what "activity-based rewards" means, this could: ๐
โ Reduces incentives for holding stablecoins.
โ Makes the U.S. less competitive vs. other countries.
โ Hurts DeFi, apps, and innovation that rely on flexible yields.
โ Could slow institutional adoption.
Stablecoins, such as $USDC, already crashed -18% today, after the announcement.
Crypto is here to empower users, not limit what you can do with your money. ๐ช

I'm pretty sure no one would have kept ADA locked in Liqwid if they knew how the DAO would vote on their NIGHT.
I hope this can still be fixed. If not, we've lost our biggest lending platform.
It is difficult to build trust, but you can lose it in a minute.
