To be fair, I doubt Sunderland would want him
He's not been at Everton for 9 years out of loyalty. I've not heard of one club that's been in for him despite the players we've had to sell over the years
Teams want more than just a decent shot stopper
Every other aspect of his game is poor
He has no presence, he creates panic as soon as the ball is put into our penalty area and his attempts at dealing with crosses is comical
Unfortunately the Everton fans have blown so much smoke up his backside that he thinks he can do no wrong.

@JezClein @phil_spudhead I believe we was pretty sturdy in our stance of 75 to even come to the table so despite everything we had some stance! DCL we was firm on 40m would have put many off!

I expect if they'd offered £50m he'd have been sold
We tried to sell DCL the previous year but he turned down Newcastle so he could go on a free

Just heard a stat that since Moyes left West Ham, they signed 10 players for excess of 25m & for of those are out on loan. Just a real example of how bad their recruitment has been & what can happen when you do it so badly

@Joe3y6 @WestHam_Central Yeah he’s a highlight player! Put all them crosses & runs together he looks great! But it misses out all the other crosses & passes, he’s very rash on & off the ball, very one dimensional, runs in straight lines, still has potential but he’d be better in a wing back side.

I know a few people who’ve worked with Pip & they’ve only ever spoken highly of him as a coach. Easy to dig him out but I genuinely bet he’d make someone a really good assistant manager.

@Joe3y6 @WestHam_Central 1 in 8 crosses are good & they’re really good!! But the others can end up all over the place 😂 defensively he’s a bit of liability, given away 2 pens this season & struggled 1-1 defending, switched off easily. He’s a wing back not a full back.
