Thoughts on the result against Liverpool. 💭 I may be the minority but the draw wasn’t a horrendous result for Arsenal. Context matters. 1. Navigating a tough injury list with relative success so far. 2. 15+ points better off compared to the equivalent fixtures last season – massive improvement. 3. We’ve had the most difficult fixture run among the top sides. 4. Reigning champions Liverpool had fewer points (48) than Arsenal’s current 49 at the same stage last season. 5. We limited an incredible Liverpool team (missing Isak, Salah & Ekitike) to ZERO shots on target – the first time in over 600 PL games for them. Insane stat. 6. Performance wasn’t sparkling, but when you’re leading the league you don’t have to take risks. That’s for City & Villa to do. Top of the league with a 6-point gap. Top of the UCL group with a semi-final around the corner. We’re doing just fine.
