My car wouldn't start this morning (I think it might the starter) and the hubs was too far away to get home, pick me up, and take me to school. Luckily my mom lives in my basement and was able to give me a ride to school. Yes, she absolutely teased me about it being just like old times. 🤣
But the teenager's boyfriend offered to come pick me up since they were hanging out today anyway, and I just can't with how awesome this kid is.

I am in Outlook and get travel reservations in my email. I hit the copilot button and tell it to add all of the items to my calendar. Oh, what’s that? Copilot can read my emails but can’t write to my calendar? But it will make an ics file I can download from the cloud then upload. Perfect, perfect. Well done Microsoft.

I am in Microsoft Word. I press Copilot. I ask for a table. The AI can't modify the Word document so it creates a new document in the cloud. It then allows me access the document through a link. Presumably I am supposed to go there, copy the table and put it in my Word document myself. Who designed this ? This is so obviously a low-effort implementation that I am baffled. It is almost as if they wanted to fail. Why can't Microsoft see that having direct access to Microsoft Word is an incredible edge that they could leverage to embed the AI directly? It is almost comical.

Major upgrade for these homeowners. Went from 2 tanks to a tankless with soft water. I geek out over this stuff but I’m super stoked that our water softeners are now branded with all my company info.

In advance of the upcoming general conference leadership session (April 2, 2026), The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced upcoming adjustments to the Sunday class meeting schedule to support members in their efforts to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. The adjustments will strengthen gospel learning in homes and congregations throughout the world. Beginning September 6, 2026, the alternating weekly schedule for Sunday School and quorum or class meetings will be replaced. Under the updated schedule: • Sunday School, Relief Society, elders quorum, Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood quorum meetings will be held each week. • Sacrament meeting will continue to be 60 minutes, followed by brief transition periods. • Sunday School and quorum and class meetings will each be 25 minutes. • Primary will continue every Sunday and will be 55 minutes, held while adults and youth attend their respective classes. • Where local circumstances necessitate, units may begin with Primary and quorum and class meetings and conclude with sacrament meeting. Hot take: Easter Baskets are gross. I'm old enough to remember when Easter wasn't a second Christmas, and I've watched the shift happen to this commercialized, gluttonous holiday with disgust. Where is Jesus in all of that?
And before you say, "WhAt aBoUt ChRiStMaS?!?" I'll just tell you that we do very small Christmases at our house. Last year we asked the kids what they wanted for Christmas and most of them said they didn't want anything because it's just more stuff.
I think the world would be a better place if we cut back (or out completely) this heavy dependence on commercialized "traditions".

The older I get the more I hate overconsumption. Your kid doesn’t need an Easter basket full of plastic junk that is going to end up in a landfill. As much as I hate the “back in my day” trope, it applies here. When I was a kid, all we got for Easter was chocolate. Why do we need to buy so much stuff for each holiday?
