Péter Magyar werd in 2023 bij zijn scheiding van zijn vrouw, de voormalige minister van Justitie van Hongarije, schuldig bevonden aan het meerdere keren slaan van haar en daarbij ook een riem te hebben gebruikt. Hij bekende cocaïne te hebben genomen, en dat in niet geringe hoeveelheden. Hij was betrokken bij handel met insiderinformatie en werd daardoor een zeer rijke man. Hij zou zijn vrouw en andere vrouwen hebben mishandeld en misbruikt. Waarom lezen we niets over dit verleden van deze man? Waarom worden deze feiten niet gemeld? Dit is de man die volgens Von der Leyen Hongarije voor Orbán moet redden.

In fact, the cumann structure, where it exists at all, exists in name only. It is gone, defunct, deceased, lying on its back in a crypt somewhere only if the local TD gave it a decent burial.

FF and FG have largely infantilised their cumann structure, and reduced them to raffle ticket sellers. The parties are run by taxpayer-funded advisers beholden to NGOs, zero connection to grassroots. That’s why they’re tone deaf to wider unease, and see the far-right everywhere.

The entire country is run on the basis that the money will run out.
Very high domestic taxes were never reduced because the money from FDI will run out.
People aren't made permanent in public services or union jobs because the money will run out.
Vast amounts were even spent on useless strangers because the money will run out, and they can't reproach us for it when it does.
All the opportunities prosperity gives are squandered because the money is going to run out.
