KCHD's Board of Health meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, March 19, has been canceled. A make-up meeting will be announced at kchd.wv.org soon.

CDC reports six more pediatric flu-related deaths last week, raising the season’s total to 66. An estimated 90% of the children were not fully vaccinated. CDC estimates 22,000,000 illnesses, 280,000 hospitalizations, and 12,000 deaths this flu season. Get vaccinated.

KCHD will be closed New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, and Friday, Jan. 2, but our Giving Tree at Holly Jolly Brawley will be restocked daily with snacks, water, and necessities. We will take the tree down midday Friday. Happy New Year to the wonderful people of the Kanawha Valley!
