KEM STUDIO is part of a great team designing a new tower and connection to Kaw Point in Kansas City, KS. We make the initial presentation to the UG and the public next Monday, April 29th, marking the first site to reach this milestone as part of the KCK Redevelopment Initiative.

The Whitehill Residence is a modern single-family conversion of a historic 1960’s duplex that embraces a more essential lifestyle while respecting the historic context. Natural materials, strategic window placement, and overhang design maximize views and family communal areas.

SkateHub is a sleek bracket designed to store and display skateboards with a floating effect. It also features a hidden shelf for storing small items. Convenient for showcasing or storing boards when not in use.

We've worked closely with the Mattie Rhodes Center at both their Arts Center and Cultural Center to integrate playful interventions inside + out. We wanted to share some of the drawings we've created through hybrid digital processes, expanding on our initial sketch thoughts.

Introducing one of our newest projects and Raleigh’s first cidery, East Bower Cider Co. The big idea was to create a local getaway, an oasis. The cidery consists of a bar, lounge, full production facility, and a 3,000 sf outdoor courtyard.

The Masterpiece Series is a ground-up redesign of Martin Logan's flagship electrostatic speaker. The big idea was to cohesively integrate the cabinet and frame in a simple, beautiful, and technical way that lives in modern and traditional spaces.

Enhancements to the Town of Kansas bridge serve as a communal gateway to the riverfront trail, blending natural + architectural elements. The design, considering local rivers, trails, steel structures, and public art, emphasizes convergence, communication, paths, and exploration.

Jonathon Kemnitzer, Co-Founder and Principal of KEM STUDIO, will be speaking at K-State tomorrow hosted by K-State's IDSA Chapter. We're excited for Jonathon to be able to share more about what we do and how we do it... with the goal of making life better through design.

The design of Urogynecology of Kansas City’s new space sought to achieve the goal of Tranquility Through Design. To accomplish this, we carefully designed the visual, auditory, and spatial elements to provide a warm and serene experience.

Tango is the new acoustic wall tile line that we designed for LOFTWALL. Each tile is crafted to harmonize in both size and groove patterns, allowing users to create unique installations that appear as art while reducing noise in residential and commercial spaces. #tangram

Join Me was recognized in the 2023 Innovation by Design Awards hosted by Fast Company. A collaborative project with @Adobe, Join Me is a signal intended to encourage spontaneous conversations. Or, with a playful flip to Focus, a polite way to discourage distractions.

Back when Health House went West we designed their first studio in WEHO. WEHO’s nature as eclectic, forward-thinking, and gregarious is represented with the integration of artistic messaging and luxury interior design that represents unconventional mergers of culture and fitness.

We designed Gravity + Sky to be a simple, environmentally responsible space divider from above + baffle. Minimize visual distractions, give yourself space to think, and let gravity absorb some of the chatter.Gravity + Sky were designed to work seamlessly together.

Creative One's design features a clean, sophisticated material palette using contrast to focus attention on important client touch-points, creates opportunities for social engagement, and celebrating unique and unexpected elements throughout the space.

As we ring in the New Year, we wanted to celebrate that Backdrop, for Landscape Forms, was a Winner in the Outdoor Products category + Buffer, for Loftwall, an Honoree in the contract partitions + wall systems category. Excited to keep making life better through design in 2023!
