Following the Presidential Guild Elections held on Sat, 21st March, Justus Drake Kyarikuda, emerged winner with 1209 votes, Niwamanya Anxious was second with 1038 votes, Akandwanaho Osbert third with 770 votes and finally Munezero Joshua with 40 votes! Congratulations to JDK.

The Guild EC today successfully organized the briefing of successfully nominated candidates for GRC positions and Guild Presidents at Jophan Hostel, Makanga! The Dean of Students graced the function. #kabguildelections

This marked an extraordinary third consecutive continental win demonstrating the University’s academic excellence and the quality of education and mentorship provided. The prestigious competition, organised by the Federation of African Medical Students’ Associations (FAMSA) in partnership with Lecturio International, took place from 21st October to 8th November 2025 and attracted participation from 40 medical schools across the African continent. Dr. George Kwesiga, Head of the Department of Chemistry at Kabale University, is participating in a Human Capital Development Training program in Pharmaceutical Sciences in China. The program, funded by the Chongqing Medical and Pharmaceutical College, aims to develop human capital for the advancement of the pharmaceutical sector in Uganda. The training program covers various modules, including pharmaceutical policy, traditional Chinese medicine, and pharmaceutical production safety.
