Israel is blowing up entire civilian homes and residential blocks in Bint Jbeil, South Lebanon, and proudly sharing the footage itself. Cheerfully broadcasting its war crimes to the world. No global outrage. No condemnation. No accountability.

Insightful as usual from @citrinowicz: « instead of accelerating change, the U.S.-Israeli war set it back. Khamenei’s death disrupted Iran’s evolution and provided the regime with an opportunity to consolidate. Paradoxically, the external pressure meant to topple the Iranian regime has helped preserve it. » foreignaffairs.com/iran/how-war-s…

An Israeli soldier released a video of my city, Beit Hanoun, completely destroyed. Not a single house in the city was left standing, not a single tree survived. Have you ever seen an army film the genocide it is committing in 360° before?

Outrageous. Trump plans to deny legal residency in the US based on whether he agrees with your speech.   Since when did it become "anti-American" to criticize the actions of a foreign government? Who is he fighting for? nytimes.com/2026/04/25/us/…

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, these panels supply the town with electricity, which is needed for its water supply, and Israel destroyed homes, roads and olive trees as well.

I urge everyone to watch this report by Channel 4 News about Israel’s killing of Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil. “Under international humanitarian law, journalists are afforded the same protection as civilians… If that journalist has a particular sympathy with a particular cause, that doesn’t mean that protection is removed… … the IDF said the incident is under review. Don’t hold your breath…” Providing the necessary context and not taking Israel’s claims at face value. This is how every journalist should be reporting.

The world (rightfully) lost its shit when Khashoggi was killed. It’s remarkable that Israel hasn’t faced real punishment for the scores of journalists it has killed in 2.5 years.
Nicholas Kristof@NickKristof

Last year a record 129 media workers were killed worldwide, 2/3 by Israel -- reflecting "a persistent culture of impunity for attacks on the press," the Committee to Protect Journalists, @pressfreedom, said. Israel killed 10 times as many journalists as Sudan, and 20 times as many as Russia.

Yesterday, journalist Amal Khalil was struck by an IDF airstrike while she was reporting in southern Lebanon. As rescuers tried to save her life, they were fired upon.

Khalil is the 9th journalist killed by Israeli strikes in Lebanon this year.

I join the Committee to Protect Journalists & others in demanding an international investigation and accountability for her death. apnews.com/article/lebane…

Amal Khalil was alive for hours. She phoned her family and the Lebanese military for help. People followed in horror as her colleagues updated the world on what was happening. And yet Israel blocked the Red Cross from reaching her for seven hours. That is stone cold murder.
Natasha Bertrand@NatashaBertrand

"Khalil was trapped alive under rubble for hours, having made a phone call to her family and the Lebanese military for help, Qudah told CNN on Thursday. 'The Red Cross was blocked for seven hours and when they reached her after seven hours, she was already dead,” she said. 'This kind of obstruction of rescue efforts may really amount to war crime.'"

Destroying villages, killing journalists, looting property and occupying another country's sovereign territory doesn't exactly sound like "fighting Hezbollah"
