Everyone knows the lower part of Stepcote Hill in #Exeter with its beautiful timber buildings, so let us take you back in time 120 years to the top part of the hill. All of the buildings are gone, but it’s incredible to see the people from over a century ago appear like phantoms.

Letter from neuro re head mri. 2 new lesions have appeared. Appt on 24th to discuss next steps. I knew it as I felt a decline over the past year but however much I yelled no one was listening. It’s not the ‘I told you so’ moment I wanted 🙄

@lauratigger82 @NHSuk My dad passed away on 8th July, he also had these symptoms but kept quiet, from diagnosis to him passing away was only 10 weeks 😢

@griffax09 I went in thinking I wouldn’t have side effects! But month 1, day 3 I felt like my body was on fire, inside & out…then fatigue hit. Month 2 was better but I was very sick on day 5. My lymphocytes are low right now, so I am fighting fatigue & I am paranoid about bugs 🦠

@griffax09 I finished year 1 of Cladrabine in March! I was shocked at the amount of blood taken before starting it (especially as I had to go back later in the day, after hydrating as my veins are rubbish 😀)

I think it is important to be frank about this. MS is an incurable, progressively disabling, and incurable disease. #MSAwarenessWeek

@dizzythedonkey Ok so far tanks, I had terrible burning indigestion on day 3, and fatigue hit on day 4 and day 5. I am feeling better now & carrying on as normal as possible. 4 weeks until the next round.

My new #MS meds are here, and I'm scared! xx But it has been 10 years since my diagnosis, and so far none of the treatments have worked, so hopefully as a 10th anniversary gift my MS might let these ones work....Maybe? xx I just wish they weren't so pointy and stabby! 🙃❤ xxx

@HelenSmithDrew I am hoping to start Cladribine soon, just had to redo one set of bloods

@shiftms My neuro listed several options but recommended Cladribine, which I should be starting soon, just need to pass the screening tests first 🤞

I researched lots about medications for MS when I got my diagnosis and I think myself lucky to have had a neurologist that basically told me to go on meds asap (even though I was really reluctant) How were medication and options discussed with you?

Shout out to the fully qualified junior doctor, who was on call for Elderly Medicine yesterday at the Bradford Royal Infirmary Despite it being incredibly busy he took my call to admit an elderly gentleman with care and compassion and arranged a bed
