What a team!! 💚 15 volunteers and 90 minutes = 52 bags of litter collected this morning 🫣💪 Fantastic effort and lovely to see some new faces 🥰 Everyone got really stuck in and lots of thank you’s from people walking the path 👏👏👏

Four more people have been fined for dumping their waste on the streets of Bury. Fixed penalty notices of £400 were served on three of them for offences of fly-tipping, and a fourth person was fined £75 for littering. More below:

This morning's FGRS litter pick at Roch Valley Greenway 🚮 12 volunteers and 27 bags 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 along with a few loose items and a shopping trolley 🛒 Thank you to everyone who came and helped 🙏🏻 💚🥰

What an amazing team! 💚 18 wonderful volunteers came out to help Piggy Lane get back to it's former glory 🥰 We did litter picking 🚮 dragging out chicken wire & other dumped items, & some cutting back 🍃 We filled a skip, kindly donated by ABBEY SKIP HIRE LTD, and 19 bags

Reminder for tomorrow (Sat) morning’s team litter-pick ….. 🚮 Meet at the top of Woodgate Hill Rd Please dress appropriately 🥾🧤 This will involve litter picking, cutting back undergrowth 🌱🍂🍃 and removing some fly tipped items 💪🏼 Abbey skips have kindly donated a skip

Great work this week from our Little Britain Anglers, United Utilities River Rangers along with our FGRS colleagues in the Warth Fold/Redvales area of the River Irwell 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 The flytipping was disgraceful 😱😡😤 Over 66+ bags collected in total (lost count! 🫢) Thanks all 🙏🏻

Two of our keen KBC volunteers have just completed a quick litter pick at a real grot spot just off Calder Crescent, Whitefield What’s with all the poo bags though??! 💩🤔🤬 The area certainly looks better now 💚 7 Bags, a hoover, a trike and an air dryer were recovered 👏🏼👏🏼

Thank you to everyone who came to the FGRS litter pick this morning & braved the cold weather 🙏🏻 20 bags in total just from an hour's pick & 10 people covering Redvales field & surrounding roads and streets - Manchester Road, Pembroke Drive, Redvales road & Radcliffe Rd 🚮💚☺️

A litter pick with students of Fairfield County Primary School after school today. They were joined by parents, teachers and Trevor the governor, and filled 10 bags! 💚 A grateful resident gave Mrs Gilkey some money to buy the children a treat 🙏 🥰

Hospice path / Piggy Lane (2/2 cont’d) Please come along if you fancy something a bit different Saturday 15th February 10.30am start Kathy has some tools but pls bring secateurs if you have them 🙏🏻

So this is our next group pick & a bit of a different one The hospice path or Piggy Lane needs a three pronged attack: 1. Cutting back and a dead hedge making 2. Litter picking 3. Dragging out the wire fencing, glass sheets and decking boards (1/2)

We just want to give a massive shout out to Roger, the boss at Beechfield Brands, who leads by example and gets totally stuck in at our picks 🤩🚮💪🏼 A phenomenal effort clearing this hideous mess from the path at the back of Tesco, as well as two full bags of cans 🙌🏼👏🏼💚
