@MitchSchwartz71 Great posts @MitchSchwartz71 Hard to understand the time commitment unless you've seen firsthand. Same reason my dad (former Broncos RB Rob Lytle in 70s/80s) never went into coaching. Its all-encompassing commitment (all year).

6) All that to say: He’s not only seeing his kid 30 minutes a week. From Monday until Thursday that’s likely, but then Friday and on he’s able to be home more. 7) This is the main reason I have no interest in coaching. I’d love to stay involved, consult, etc., but coaching? No.

People are ragging on this but there’s a few key factors here: 1) Monday and Tuesday are marathon days for coaches. They watch all the film of their opponent and figure out the game plan. Some don’t even go home those nights, or if they do it’s for just a couple hours.

As someone who writes words for a living, I have none to describe what the last month or so has been like for Michigan Basketball. Unreal stuff.
