@kowalchukfarms1 Can’t really honestly tell you what good Alberta pea commission has done for our industry, get a mailer once in a while that shows how they justify the checkoff & financial statement. But they did take $160 per super b load off my cheque this week. That I did see. 🤷‍♂️

@SolickSeeds If solar & windmills are so great why dont we fill the river valleys & green spaces in Calgary & Edmonton with them. Cities demand more power than rural areas. Ruin their own backyards for once.

This 34mw solar project is proposed on one of the best 295 acres I rent. Tiled and drained. What a waste of some of the highest assessed land in the county of stettler. I'm a firm believer if these project locations don't belong on productive land. What a waste.

@DevinDVote I hope you make traffic design team study I15 throught Salt Lake City. Thats how you build things to move traffic. Long merge & exit lanes and barricades so no last minute dive over at exits.

Started canola today. Now about 10 of these crop wreckers can move to the neighbour’s canola

@KellyMalmberg Getting farmers on same page is like herding cats. But if it would work… buy following year Jan-March wheat futures in spring as well. Would have to wait till Russia/Black Sea was done “Walmarting” all their wheat inventory, for market to go up.

If farmers could ever all get on the same page, they should bin 30% of the grain the same level as the fertilizer reduction and lock the key for a couple years... Either way the price of grain is going up and will likely compensate for the loss in yield on the fert reduction...

@rossmckenzieAG @westernproducer I believe there is a fair amount of industrial development in this area already. City just wants tax $$. Why the county/MD would give up tax base is another question.Solar panels on 5000acres ag land near Blackie AB prime production area has been proposed too.

The City of Calgary occupies over 825 sq km & wants to annex over 4,000 acres of prime agricultural land. About 80% of this land is rated Class 2 for agriculture, our best ag land (Alberta has no Class 1 land). It’s very disappointing to see continued loss of our best ag lands.

When you go out to get that one rock you remember seeing during harvest in an area of the field.. it had friends. Train station.
