@hahaha8201 To be fair we’ve basically been in what I call the “Cold Civil War” for a while now. You can no longer argue about politics civilly anymore because their politics have to be 100% right. People don’t like it even when someone else’s politics are just slightly different than theirs

@siva_quarter Depends on the Christian, if we’re talking modern Evangelical Protestant that’s most likely the case. I mean they wanted Pokemon and Harry Potter banned and stripped off shelves. While most Catholic, Orthodox, and Classical Protestants just moved on and didn’t care.

@Isuzu_T That’s true, it’s what I would call cultural religion. It’s what is preformed in most of the world currently since most people follow the traditions but not the religion. I’d recommend doing research on religion, I personally love learning about the Saints.

@Isuzu_T It really depends on the denomination, if you’re looking at modern Evangelical Protestantism you’ll find a lot of that. Classical Christianity (Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy) is typically lowkey, also it’s pretty rare to ditch your family unless you want to become a monk.

それ、聖書に書いてあったから知ってる。 うちにきたアメリカ人のモルモン教神父も言ってた。 そして、その下りは大多数の日本人はマンガやアニメで大枠を知ってる。life of Brianも見たよ。 新約聖書はエンタメの底本として繰り返した換骨奪胎されるので、毎週末に教会に行かなくてもだいたい知ってる。 黙示録については70年代別にノストラダムスが流行ったときに、よってたかって掘り下げた先人がいて、後々の（神と天使がもたらす終末」を描く題材にされてたからよく知ってる。 神が神としてあろうとする正しさに、疑問をぶつけ続ける、言わば「聖書の続編」「聖書のメッセージを拡張して、思索を続けようとした物語」は日本では割とありふれたジャンルなので、様々な側面、様々な切り口、様々な解釈のものが存在している。 カジュアルなところでは「聖☆お兄さん」があるし、神の言い分に真っ向対決した物語としては、「魔法少女プリティ☆ベル」とかがオススメ。後者はたぶん英訳されてないから、「オタクのラテン語」を学んでから挑戦するとよいかも。 それらを楽しむために原典に当たる必要があったので、新約聖書、旧約聖書は一度は読んでる日本人は少なくないかと。 だから、聖書から引っ張ってきて日本人に何かを教えようとすると、「ああ、知ってる知ってる」といなされると思う。

@azukiglg Jesus is God and the disciples spent a lot of time with Him and many were healed by Him. The Holy Spirit, Who is also God as the third person of the Godhead, wrote the Bible through men. Much of the New Testament was written by those same disciples who died for their teachings.
