It was a particularly rough day at the office for Jonathan Taylor in pass pro. He struggled big time. Jones also had three bad sacks taken from the screen play (just dirt that ball), the scramble/fumble on the sideline (throw it away), and the redzone sack (hang in the pocket)

Rewatching the Colts' OL in pass pro against the Falcons. I'm not too concerned with the OL after watching the film, I'd break down the reasons for the 7 sacks: 2 sacks on RB pass pro 1 well disguised blitz sack 2 coverage sacks/scrambles 1 DJ bad sack on screen 1 Smith beat

Final (somewhat nihilistic) thoughts on the Colts QB battle: I don’t think it matters too much either way. This team is probably winning 7-8 games imo Team is really banged up and both QBs have major warts to work through. Don’t think it’s a playoff team regardless

@ZachHicks2 Such a sloppy team. Steichen not doing enough CEO coaching and too bogged down in play calling? I’d like to see him give up the duties. 2nd half devolved into all 25 yard targets, no easy plays again.

Major stock down game for this Colts' coaching staff. Can't have players looking this undisciplined and sloppy this late in the season. Guys look unprepared all game long. Wasted a pretty decent early start from Richardson too. Just another pathetic effort vs. a good team

Also, speaking of double standards, the Colts’ best center on the roster is currently a 22 year old on the bench because the guy starting happens to be a long tenured player. Ryan Kelly obviously has earned some benefit of the doubt, but his play this year has been brutal

I think it’s a huge mistake to bench Anthony Richardson. The #Colts are punting on their 2023 No. 4 pick just 10 starts into his career for a chance to *maybe* reach the playoffs with Joe Flacco. They better make it or this decision will be for nothing. nytimes.com/athletic/58812…

@ZachHicks2 This is Irsay. So after they go 1-3 the next 4 games and have no chance at the playoffs, if they don't bring AR back to develop him for the final 5, then there really is no hope for this franchise. I'll be out until Irsay "steps down".

Just going off vibes, it feels like it was a very sudden decision that came in quickly by somebody in the org. I was talking to player yesterday hours after the news and he said he didn’t even know anything about that move happening (essentially we broke it to him)

@ZachHicks2 You’re unhinged. There is no reason they can’t send him a message about toughness and professionalism and come back in a week or 2. If they don’t plan on coming back to him in short order then I agree this is a massive mistake.

Final thought/tweet of the day I’ll happily eat crow on this Anthony Richardson situation if it somehow works out in Indy. I’ve just completely lost faith in the organization with this project and with this project panning out here. Really really hope I’m wrong, though.
