Kryptstar Mack@kryptstar_mack
@AstarNetwork talking with @Aleph__Zero about the road to mass adoption.
Todays topic was “The road to Mass adoption. Comparing the internet/computer revolution of 2002 and what it took for mass adoption, compared to the current battle crypto is having to achieve the same level of adoption.
@AntoniZolciak had a few points:
1) Windows(Bill Gates) opened the door, however Apple(Steve Jobs) was the real winner in the end. There are different use cases for the operating systems, and the same goes for cryptocurrencies.
2) Relationships take time, so it is key to start kindling relationships and lighting the fire, because without that fire there will be no mass adoption, especially when you are dealing with multicultural, cross continent communication. Once you get that first deal, the rest fall in place, but you can’t win if you don’t play.
3) Creating value/revenue for enterprises is the key to getting them onboard at first(for example, running a validator node @deutschetelekom), then partnering with them to create other various solutions.
Astar team really focused on:
1) Public chain decentralization for trust and stability with private chains built on top for business cases with KYC requirements
2) Business focus first, tech after. Without a business case, Web 2.0 has no reason to move to Web 3.0.
There was a lot more talked about during the event, but those were my main takeaways.
Thank you @WatanabeSota and the rest of the Astar team for this great learning opportunity!
