@ItsMeHeiri People are armed with the tools more now than they used to be to recognize these scams, theres just a higher amount of "I dont care" and less want to use critical thinking these days I guess

@ItsMeHeiri Im gen z and they taught this stuff to us in elementary school. Its as basic as learning to read with how much I was taught it. Yet people still fall for it. Before my generation scams like this weren't common, people didnt learn about using computers outside of college classes.

Internet safety I feel isn't nearly as prevalent as it used to be many years ago. I constantly see announcements in random discord about a person's account being compromised, people's bank details being stolen, being scammed on STEAM of all places even.. At the very least, never click and suspicious links, even by a friend. Check emails as well! People phish emails all the time, never click an image or download anything unless you can confirm it's by the right person and check the email it's being sent from. PLEASE KEEP FACT CHECKING EVERYTHING. If something seems weird, IT'S 99% LIKELY WEIRD. Always stay vigilant. The internet isn't just all fun and games, it's dangerous, too.
