Unveiled on Victoria Park in Leicester on July the 4th 1925, it is aligned so the sun shines through the arches at sunrise on the 11th of November. It was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. The arch stands as a permanent memorial to honour those from the Leicestershire regiment.
The ARWMP is a war memorials project based in Leicester and Leicestershire. 46 memorials are in their safe care. One of those is this magnificent window. Rescued from the Aylestone working Men’s club. Others have been rescued from abandoned buildings , vandalism and theft.
