We had a brilliant time in the woods on Wednesday. Our imaginations went wild as we had a go at all these things and played as if we were Stone Age tribes 🪵🔥
HUGE THANKS to our parent helper who came into school today to help us conclude our local history learning on Sheffield’s steel industry. 🍴🧑🏭
We all got involved in making stainless steel to the precise recipe. Brilliant way to bring our learning to life!🙌🏻
In our Y3 assembly today, we heard about a player of the match award for football and great progress in phonics. Well done to these two children. 👏 @LJS3RS@LJS3BN
If you go down to the woods today….you might just find some skeletons! The children have recreated the human skeleton using sticks and twigs and had great fun doing it!
We’ve been settling back into learning fantastically this week.
This afternoon we added another layer of detail to our stunning autumn tree paintings. We hope you like what we’ve done so far.
Our geography walk around the local area to look at land use was such a successful morning.
Huge thanks 🙌🏻 to our parent helpers for your time.
Back at school we made land use posters and plotted the route on maps. 📍🗺️
3R/S have had a brilliant first week and we are VERY proud of them!
We’ve been reading Flat Stanley. Working in groups, we used iPads to take photos of Stanley getting into adventures outside. Super work Y3!
We’ve had a lovely afternoon creating sculpted Greek theatre masks out of cardboard and decorating with Ancient Greek key patterns. They look absolutely fabulous!

The children had great fun making their monsters and we are pleased to say the pneumatic systems all worked!
We had SUCH a wonderful time at Yorkshire Wildlife Park yesterday and were really lucky to get so close to some of the animals. A huge thank you to our parent helpers, enjoy the pictures!
Today we have started our new DT topic by exploring how products use pneumatics to make them work. Everyone had a go with a stomp rocket which was great fun! Then we drew a labelled diagram to explain how it works.
We are all ready to write our adventure stories next week! A big well done to everyone for making such fantastic story boxes. Today, the children have enjoyed telling their story to a friend. We will be expecting some amazing vocabulary next week!
