Co-host of Live Laugh Lorcana💫 #Love2Lore

🚨New Episode Alert!🚨 Even though summer is over, it’s time to get back on the tour bus and resume the Disney Lorcana Animation Eras Tour! Join me and @LLLBecky as we cover the hits of Silver Era, which lasted from 1950 to 1967. What is your favorite film from this era?

@LorcanaVillain @BDecandio7 @Nive_the_Nerd @PavelKolev7 You would be a Weevil Underwood wouldn't you? 🤣🤣

There seems to be a lot of discussion(?) happening over the weekend about NA vs. EU opportunities for #Lorcana and tbh it's been bothering me so below are some thoughts. Take em or leave em I just wanted to give my 2 cents. I think there's a lot being lost in the back and forth. I understand on a deep level why it's frustrating for NA CCs to see EU CCs get really cool invite only media events regularly, receive product before release to make content with before anyone else has the opportunity, and seem to play by different (and more lenient) rules regarding content creation than we have to play by over here. So far, as a NA CC there have essentially been 2 things to be rewarded with for your hard work in creating content for a game you love (and providing "free" advertising for Ravensburger while building communities around Disney Lorcana for free as well.) Yes I know RB isn't asking any of us to do any of this, but it is certainly beneficial to them that we do. 1. You get to reveal a card for the next set! Cool! This is certainly a token of appreciation and acknowledgment even if it doesn't really do anything for that specific creator since people only really care about the card itself and will only share the card without a source the moment it is made public. Still a very worthy goal to strive for and fulfilling once it happens. 2. You are asked to be on Lorecast and/or asked to commentate/interview for a DLC (these spots for obvious reasons are very hard to get in to and are limited in number). In other words, the spectrum is very wide, and there aren't many achievable options for most. Where I think things get lost is where I see EU creators respond with "Well you get more DLCs than us! And Worlds!" which is true, but is ignoring the premise of frustration. I don't think anyone is arguing that NA players have better opportunities for public events than EU players have. Even with the extra DLCs, NA players still have to spend a lot of money and travel long distances to attend (the closest DLC to me was a 4 hour drive and I was ecstatic it was drivable), but I'm not here to argue how much better, if much, NA players have compared to EU. The problem is that NA creators feel like they aren't being acknowledged/rewarded anywhere close to the way EU creators are. Anyone can show up to a DLC if they have the means. No one can show up to an invite only event or receive early product without... an invitation lol. Do we see the difference here? Player vs creator? Public vs. private? NOW, this is what I really wanted to get to in this rant and ultimately what bothered me enough to comment on it. This is not NA vs. EU. This. is. not. NA. vs. EU. Yes, both have different things to be frustrated with/happy about. But at the end of the day, the issue should not be with each other or how much one side is empathetic of the other (though we should try to be as empathetic as we can), this issue should be with Ravensburger and how they are or aren't providing what you want to see. This isn't by any means a call to arms. I am fully aware of the privilege I ooze on this topic being one of the few NA CCs who's been given some of the greatest opportunities available (of which I could not be more grateful for. It is a literal dream come true for me and I never for a second take them for granted), but I just don't like seeing the community butting heads and making teams. We're all on one team here. If there are things we want to see more of, we should make that known to RB and keep making those things known until something hopefully changes. There's a lot RB has done well. There's some stuff RB has not done so well 😅. And that's okay. There's serious growing pains with this and some patience is necessary. Rather than being annoyed with each other (NA & EU) I think we should instead point our efforts towards doing what we can to make our frustrations known to RB so that they (hopefully) will hear us and help us. On a completely unrelated note... Ravensburger, the people want bucket hats on the prize wall. 😤
