The McGill Association of University Teachers passed a resolution today for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel and Israeli academic institutions. Over 90% of voters supported the motion. #bds

Despite @mcgillu 's escalatory repression of anti-genocide organizing, including recently failed attempt at seeking an injunction banning almost all campus protests, students have again reaffirmed commitment to upholding international law, human rights, and anticolonial struggle.

2 years after the start of Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people, we see the University doubling down on its refusal to act on its moral and legal obligations to prevent the crime of genocide and to divest from supporting an apartheid and genocidal state.

@mcgillu has once again tried to tell professors that they are not required to offer accommodations to striking students. But professors are free to accommodate students, cancel classes, move them online, and create as much space as they want to talk about student movements.

This week, the Students’ Society of McGill University is organizing a strike in support of Palestinian liberation. I'm proud to support striking students at my alma mater by offering an in-person teach-in on Israel/Palestine and international law with @LS4PM *tomorrow*, April 4.
