BURN BAN - Governor Pillen has enacted a statewide burn ban thru March 27. No burn permits can be issued for any reason, and any permits that were previously issued but not yet used are now void. Open burning is not allowed during this period.

Strong winds and dry air will combine for extreme fire danger this afternoon, with a Red Flag Warning in effect from 12 PM to 9 PM. Overnight, winds will increase to 45-60 mph before diminishing by sunrise Friday. Potential is increasing for wintry weather this weekend as well!

Lancaster County is in an ENHANCED risk for severe weather today. The primary threat with these storms will be large hail, but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Timing for our area looks to be 3-4pm. Ensure you have multiple ways to receive warnings and a plan for safety!
