I need examples of a US city with at least three pro sports teams where the NHL team is top two in fandom in the city. Boys here said Detroit, DC and Tampa. I think I’ll give them DC and Tampa, but contest Detroit. Some guys said Minnesota, I think Twins are bigger than Wild.

@waterstonebooks Agreed. I've received responses from two authors about essays I wrote about their books. It's really neat & made my day each time. For its many faults, that is a positive of social media. 🦬

I have many, many, many complaints about social media, but the flip side is this: A reader enjoys a book published more than 40 years ago and shares how much he enjoyed it. Expressed a desire to talk about it with others and laments he's the only person he knows who has read it. And now he's received a personal thanks from the author and received an outpouring of kindness as other fans have stepped forward, eager to talk. It's a beautiful thing to witness, and something that would have been as good as impossible even 20 years ago.

@Gibboanxious I don't know about best, but a very good one is "A Bridge Too Far". It has *two* scenes that made me say "WOW" out loud.
