@TheDynastyCafe My league does a 1 day rookie draft, 3 rounds 12 teams, with 5min for each pick. The 5min is just enough for an owner to make a trade if they’d like while still completing the draft quickly

@TheDynastyCafe The thing I don’t like about a slow draft is that it gives managers time to ask for input on who to pick whether that be Reddit, twitter, etc… but I do agree that it is definitely way more convenient than just doing it in one day.

For rookie drafts, what is everyone’s thoughts on a “slow draft” format? I have never participated in one, but one of my leagues is considering it. Personally, I’d rather just commit to one day to draft. Curious was to what others think! #fantasyfootball #dynasty

@Qlinch_ IMO it’s slim pickings in the third round. I’m a fan of Skyler bell but my expectations are tempered. I’m also fairly high on demond claiborne but wouldn’t spend more than an early 3rd on him.

@LanceDaley_ Yeah good call, I gotta hold strong haha. Luckily I have one more league I could try to get an early 2nd in via Mark Andrews or similar (TEP++) Joly was solid in College fantasy last year for me. Do you have any other later guys you like? I'm trying to scout out a late WR/RB

@Qlinch_ Anything can happen but definitely think you can get more for Gadsden in season. If he performs you may even be able to get a 27 mid-late 1st or something equivalent. Also I am gobbling up all of the Joly and Delp shares I can get, to stash them on taxi

@Qlinch_ I like Gadsden side personally. Clear TE1 on team in a good offense with an OC who has a history of utilizing his TE in the passing game. Williams is intriguing but even so is an upside bet.

@DynastyAngleFF That makes a lot of sense. The jamarr chase comps are ridiculous. I agree with you that the path to playing time is intriguing.

I have some hesitation. It takes time to adjust to the league as a rookie and the physicality piece has me concerned. A lot of Bell’s scouting concerns were about press, play strength, and working through contact/traffic. I’m not out though. In the 3rd round of rookie drafts, I get the swing- being he’s attached to Allen.

Yeah a lot of the same reaction when we were all drafting together last night. I was hoping Williams would fall to me in the 3rd but was able to grab Claiborne. I'll chalk some of the reaches to being because we drafted before Sleeper ADP has caught up. I'm thinking the Raiders might use Washington more as a receiver since they didn't draft one. It might turn out okay for the guy that grabbed him.

@Qlinch_ @SleeperNFL @SleeperJets @SleeperBrowns @SleeperSeahawks Zachariah branch at 2.01 is a crazy reach. Williams and Chris bell mid 2nd is great value. Emmett Johnson 2.12 is sneaky good selection as well given K9s injury history. Washington before Claiborne is a head scratcher for me.
