We support firefighters not only for the work they do but also for the lives they lead and the roles they fill beyond the call. Because when we fully support our firefighters, we’re also supporting the people they protect, the families they love, and the communities they serve.

Firefighters are so much more than who you see at the scene of an emergency. They’re mothers, fathers, siblings, friends, partners, neighbors, just like you.

Mike's unwavering respect for the fire service and the people behind it remained constant through it all. "Brotherhood, morale, and tradition separate this profession from a job," he says. Join us in honoring Lieutenant Mike Murphy for his 35+ years of dedication and service.

Throughout his career, Mike volunteered for many causes close to his heart. One of the most rewarding experiences, he says, was working alongside The Leary Firefighters Foundation to help rebuild New Orleans firehouses following Hurricane Katrina.

Meet Lieutenant Mike Murphy, a second-generation firefighter who recently retired from the Newton Fire Department after 35 incredible years of service. Mike's career began in 1985 as a firefighter/crash crew member of the United States Air Force.
