If you have 5 mins, give this breakdown of one of the main issues with our team from Danny Murphy a watch.
The evidence has piled up & is now undisputable... Eddie Howe can not manage a team unless it only has one game per week.
That is not elite. End of discussion. #nufc
The importance of learning. Fascinating listening to Lewis Hall speaking after England training at St George’s Park. Hall spoke at length about his hunger to learn and develop. Newcastle United left-back has learned from recent experiences, good and bad, playing against elite wide players like Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Hall did well against Yamal in the drawn first leg at St James’ Park, although the Spanish international converted a late pen. Hall: “I was very pleased the way I performed. I'd say the same in the second leg for the first half, I was reasonably happy.” Yamal showed his threat just before half-time and then ran riot in the second half.
“These players are the best players in the world. Sometimes they can't necessarily be at their level for the full 90 minutes, but even when they’re not at their best, they show their quality in moments throughout the game. He’s someone when the team is not doing well he can change the scoreline by himself. He's definitely a special player.”
As well as Yamal, Hall has faced Antoine Semenyo, Bryan Mbeumo and Mo Salah in recent weeks, continuing his education. “You've got to test yourself against the best. I went through a short time-frame where I've had a lot of games playing against the top players in the world. It’s a difficult challenge, but I wanted that challenge. It's been a learning curve.”
He learned breaking through at Chelsea, especially from senior pros like Thiago Silva. “Although he didn't necessarily speak much English, he was so good to me. He always wanted to help me improve. He was playing a lot of games at the time and still taking time on the training pitch to help me. I’m really grateful.”
Eddie Howe has been an important teacher at Newcastle. “He's been a massive help for me. He’s done so much to help me be in the position I am now. He's helped me a lot off the pitch in ways to be around the training ground, and how to interact with all the lads. And then on the pitch, he’s showed a lot of belief in me, and taught me a lot about the defensive side of my game, which was the main area I needed to improve when I first joined. He spent a lot of time staying behind after training, working with me. I'm always grateful for that. Top coach.” #CFC#NUFC#ENG
@tfalex1892 We need to accept a drop off on the high press when playing him up top but he’s definitely the best option,
They’ve plenty of time to work on it now.
League games at SJP this season
Woltemade starting up front:
9 games - 20 points
Anyone else up front:
7 games - 6 points
Was it really not working (at SJP) to such a degree? Surely worth getting him back there for the rest of the season?
Woltemade’s flick in Belgium 🪄
THAT Pope assist v Benfica 🚀
Burn’s curling header v Bilbao 🤯
Miley’s moment in Leverkusen 🌟
Willock in Paris 🤌

All completed, time for a well earned pint! 🍻
Every single seat in the house has something on it, so we’d massively appreciate you all being in your seats 15 mins before KO and getting involved (especially in the Milburn).
Into this lot, Newcastle. HOWAY THE LADS 🏴🏳️🏴🏳️
Absolutely superb stuff from Simon Jordan on talkSPORT earlier today regarding the situation at #NUFC - effectively calling on our owners to actually do something instead of letting the CEO build our hopes up in interviews without backing up his words 👏🏽 @Sjopinion10
To just simply do an away trip to Barcelona, and see Newcastle play in the Champions League knockout stages at the Camp Nou is special, let alone see them score twice. We're out, it wasn't pretty tonight, but sod it...It's been an incredible trip. Howay the Lads ⚫️⚪️🇪🇸 #NUFC
Anthony Elanga at least will hopefully walk away from that tonight and kick on
26 games 0 goals in the Premier League but has now joined Puskas and Mbappe for being the only opposition players ever to score a Champions League knockout stage brace at the Nou Camp ✅
#NUFC
#NUFC being mocked for losing a 2 legged tie against biggest club in the world
We’d have snapped your hands off for this 5 years ago
Little old Newcastle eh?

Gotta respect Newcastle United fans.
Passionate, loyal, and actually classy.
No unnecessary toxicity like Chelsea and Manchester United fans.. just pure support for their club
