पूरी के शंकराचार्य निश्चलानंद सरस्वती का कहना है दो क्षत्रिय राजकुमारों गौतम बुद्ध और महावीर स्वामी ने क्षात्र तेज का त्याग कर अहिंसा का मार्ग अपनाया जिसके कारण क्षात्र धर्म शिथिल हुआ और देश की दुर्गति हुई। ये पूरी तरह गलत बयानी है। बौद्ध धर्म के समय कभी भी क्षत्रियो ने ना तो हथियार त्यागे और नाही युद्ध। सम्राट हर्षवर्धन बौद्ध धर्म अनुयायी थे और जीवन भर युद्ध करते रहे। पाल वंश भी बौद्ध धर्म का अनुयायी था और वे भी पीढ़ियों तक युद्ध करते रहे। कन्नौज का त्रिपक्षीय संघर्ष 100 साल तक चला जिसमे एक पक्ष पाल वंश था। सम्राट अशोक ने भी सेनाओं का परित्याग नहीं किया और नाही सम्राट ब्रहद्रथ ने। सच्चाई ये है कि बौद्ध काल में ही भारत विश्वगुरु बना। बौद्ध काल के वो 1000 वर्ष भारत के सबसे शांत, समृद्ध, समानतामूलक, अहिंसक और ज्ञानवान वर्ष थे। दूसरी बात क्षात्र धर्म तो सदा से ही शिथिल था। भगवान परशुराम ने 21 बार क्षत्रियो का समूल नाश कर दिया था। प्रश्न ब्राह्मणो से है कि जिस तरह उन्होंने क्षत्रियो का 21 बार समूल नाश किया उस तरह विदेशी आक्रांताओ का समूल नाश क्यों नहीं किया ?

नवबौद्धों को लगता है कि शाक्यमुनि सिद्धार्थ गौतम से पहले पूरब का कोई इतिहास ही नहीं है। मगध के अधिकतर सिक्कों में सूर्य चिन्ह का अंकन किसका प्रभाव है? अवध के सौरवंशियों का। तुम्हे लगता हैं तारा और लक्ष्मी मूलतः बौद्धों की देवी है? ये दोनों मूलतः हम असुरों की देवी है।
