Un ragazzo italiano non tornerà più a casa dalla sua famiglia perché un egiziano ha deciso di ficcargli un cacciavite nella gola. Sulla #remigrazione non ci dovrebbe essere altro da dire.

For the people arguing this is inaccurate because Italy is a net contributor: Italy receives a LOT outside of the regular budget to which they indeed are a net contributor of about 6 billion euros. For example, Italy receives the largest share of the NextGenerationEU recovery fund, which amounts to €191.5 billion in a mix of grants and cheap loans. Loans it will not pay back anytime soon considering the fact that Italy is in massive debt. Apart from that you also have to keep in mind that Italy has a huge divide regarding GDP per capita between the North and the South of the country. That plays a big role here, because the poorer south benefits. And then lastly, the public’s perception is not that simple. The Netherlands is one of the largest net contributors for example but most Dutch people believe that we will never make it financially without the EU - because that’s what they’ve been told about the UK through years and years of media propoganda.

Meloni plays both sides to keep the EU cash flowing. If she pushes too hard on immigration, Brussels will treat her like Orbán and cut off the funds. That would cause her to lose popularity, because many people still fail to realize that losing EU money in the short term is better than becoming a minority in your own homeland.

Step ten: add seed oils, because we apparently learned nothing. Step eleven: homogenise, degas, pasteurise, and sterilise the mixture until it resembles no food that has ever existed in nature. Step twelve: put it in a carton with a picture of a field on it. The cow: stands in a field. Makes milk. Has done this for ten thousand years. No factory. No steps. No aquifer. Unnatural, though. Very unnatural.
