@VleshDecay @johanvinet Sexualized children in your reposts and you're in here telling an indie developer their art looks like AI slop because their capsule art isn't the same color as the in game character? Let's assume you're not the target audience. (Hoping so for the devs sake anyway)

@johanvinet Very cool, explain to me how the title image showing the main character looks nothing like it does in game. The title image looks like furry AI slop, in game the character is clearly human. Different hair color too. Very fascinating.

Also, LUNARK is human-made, frame by frame. No AI involved, just pure dedication and love for the craft. 🥰

@Yeenie_Mcbeenie @Lucayou7 These sorts of things contrast well with the otherwise grim and dark reality of the other threats they deal with. Me personally I love SCPs like this. They serve a great place in the universe but I do not enjoy over sexualized SCPs or blatant joke SCPs. Just not my style.

@svenstoffels Artists who use rotoscoping or tracing are not real artists. They're just copying an original! No talent. Artists who use AI in their workflow to develop patterns, backgrounds, etc. are not real artists! They didn't create the whole thing from scratch! 🤡🤡🤡

@svenstoffels Collage artists lack any process of creation and therefore can not be considered artists. They didn't create the original art they just assembled it into a new form. Music producers who sample audio in their songs aren't real music producers: they didn't create it from scratch!

He's not completely wrong. Generative AI lacks any process of creation, and therefore cannot be considered art. AI can become a tool to assist in the creation of genuine art. But neither is most of the slop that "artists" have been churning out over the past decade. A decade of top-down, socially engineered, committee-approved corpo slop propaganda turned artists into a production line prompted by HR departments. Too afraid to express genuine truth and meaning. So AI didn't replace artists, they replaced themselves.

I feel validated that people hate GIMP now. Like 10 years ago in the 2010s everybody would recommend it like it's the best software ever, but when I tried it I found the UI insanely shit & confusing to work with. I quickly went back to paint .net and I still use it to this day.

@IndieGameJoe I mean if you're having panic attacks I think it's time to take a break and establish balance. Don't burn yourself out. Don't sit around brooding about possible failure, and don't put yourself in a situation where failure means serious consequences like not paying rent.

@MetamateDaz Find a way to love it again or switch to something you love. Automate the parts you hate. Go on vacation regularly. Work outside. Eat healthy. Exercise.

how do you get your work ethic back? I burned myself out from 2018-2025 and now I’m tired and just don’t want to anymore.

@PearlteaRizzy To be fair about the conspirator part, last time everyone made fun of a "wAcKy cOnspiRacY thEory" it ended up being the largest child trafficking syndicate the world has ever seen.

Social media has basically normalized antisocial behavior, conspiratorial thinking, psychopathy, and impulsiveness that it's rapidly eroding the very fabric of society as well as democracy. We wouldn't be in this mess if the algorithm didn't favor ragebaits and echo chambers.

@ImKingGinger Wholeheartedly agree. Anyone who thinks the only way to use AI is to churn out a finished result with nothing more than a prompt and then call it done with no modification or effort is ignorant (likely willfully so) and has no clue of it's countless valid creative applications.

Every creative person I know that has embraced AI as a tool for their art has produced more content this month than all of last year. A true creative individual sees AI and feels completely empowered. They feel like the entire world has opened up to them. But a lot of self professed creative people, who have been grifting as creatives for decades, are about to be exposed as frauds who and pretenders who only know how to work within the politics of the current system. They will sit down before the greatest tool for creativity the world has ever known and not have a single idea how to use it or what story to tell. Pay attention to what is happening and who rejects the gift, and who embraces it.

@Mintea111 I don't get it, how could a game possibly affect anyone else's creativity? It was extremely beneficial for SCP. If people are uncreative that was a preexisting condition.
