A maize farmer has lamented the current price of maize, blaming President John Mahama after a bag reportedly dropped to GHS500. He compared the price to levels under the previous Akufo-Addo–led administration, when a bag sold for between GHS1,000 and GHS1,200. The farmer appealed to the Minister for Food and Agriculture to close the country’s borders to prevent the importation of maize.
