I got my third run of COVID this weekend - this variant is not fun but manageable. It reminded of my good friend Frank Tsung - we spent 5 years together in graduate school at UCSB and he was a star young faculty at Boston College. Frank died from COVID in the hospital before vaccines were available. I am grateful for the COVID vaccine. I will always remember Frank.

My office has some magic to block my WiFi signal even though my door is wide open, once I am standing right beside the door, it's fine~
